Press conference in BTA about Regional Local Elections in Republic of Bulgaria.
Sofia, November 20th 2009;
Today, on a press conference in BTA (Bulgarian Telegraph Agency), Media Democracy Foundation presented results of the media campaign for Local Regional elections. The presentation was based on GARB TV Monitoring Data. The press conference was lead by the media experts Mr. George Lozanov and Mr. Orlin Spassov. Press conference in BTA about Pre Elections campaign for European Parliament.
Sofia, June 12th 2009;
The Media Democracy Foundation gave a press conference at BTA (Bulgarian Telegraph Agency) regarding the elections of the European Parliament. The press conference was lead by the media experts Mr. George Lozanov and Mr. Orlin Spassov. Experts as Mrs. Petia Kabakchieva – Department of Sociology, Sofia Universiy, Mrs. Mila Mineva – Department of Sociology, Sofia Universiy, Mr. Georges Luks – Executive Director of GARB and Mr. Dobromir Zhivkov from Market Links Agency were also invited to the press conference.
GARB provided analysis based on the data from television and advertising monitoring regarding the quality and quantity of the advertising spots of the political parties, money spent for political TV advertisement and TV viewers reached by this campaign for the period May 1st – June 7th 2009. GfK Audience Research Bulgaria – GARB at Mediamixx’09.

Today in the Festival and Congress center of Albena resort was opened the Congress “Is the world financial crisis a media crisis?”. GfK Audience Research Bulgaria –GARB sponsored the opening of the event. Participants in the discussion were Mr. Krasimir Guergov – media consultant, Mr. Milen Stamatov – MTel, Mr. Georges Luks – Executive Director of GARB and Mr. Hans Mahr – RTL Austria.
On May 5th, GARB had a party. Guests of the event were Eurosport Bulgaria, Euro RSCG, Fame Cards, Sign Cafe, NOVA TV, DIEMA, TV Guide.

Visits in households with digital television.
Sofia, February 13th 2009;
Today, members of “Users Committee of People metric TV Data” visited GARB households on Digital reception. They were able to observe in real households how different types of digital TV are measured – BulsatCom (TotalTV), free satellite and digital cable TV.
Since GfK Audience Research foundation in November 2006, all digital households in the GARB panel on Bulsatcom, TotalTV and free satellite has been measured. In 2008 GARB has also started the measurement of digital-cable television, using SIP Adapter - additional electronical component, placed inside Telecontrol device."

Diema TV Group joins Audience Measurement of GfK Audience Research Bulgaria - GARB

Starting from 1st of January 2009 the Diema TV Group joins the Panel for Television Audience Measurement of GfK Audience Research Bulgaria GARB. GARB and the new management of NOVA TV and Diema TV are looking forward to develop their already experienced collaboration.
GARB launched successfully new Software for Monitoring and Optimizing Advertising on TV which was introduced already last year to NOVA TV. Cooperation between GARB and IPTV.bg
Sofia, July 21st 2008;
GFK Audience Research Bulgaria (GARB) announced that a cooperation between GARB and IPTV.bg would be fact from 1st of August 2008.
GARB, as a supplier of peoplermetric TV data in Bulgaria, using the latest developments in the measurement technologies from international and local markets, is offering to their clients a new service, as an added value to their audience research package.
From 1st of August the clients of GARB will have the opportunity to use the audience viewership statistics for the channels broadcasted on IPTV.bg. With over 210 000 subscribers and growth rate of more than 400 new registrations daily, the service is leader on the IPTV market in Bulgaria. IPTV.bg provides detailed real time metrics, based on the demographic data of 100% of the viewers. IPTV.bg provides the data independently from the TV audience research data produced from GARB by the people metric method.
With this new service GARB believes that their clients will gain additional information, regarding the new trends in TV audience and viewership development in Bulgaria.

GfK Audience Research Bulgaria GARB has decided to raise its presence and position on the Bulgarian Market for Audience Measurement. The provider of technical services so far, MBMD PR, has been taken over for that purpose by GARB. Mihail Ianov, Head of MBMD PR, will act as Senior Consultant for GARB and provide his experience and competence to the management of GARB.
Georges Luks, Executive Director of GARB, is now directly in charge for the entire operation of Audience Research in Bulgaria. All the staff of MBMD PR will stay with GARB for further activity.
In that frame joins also the decision from the Board of GARB to increase with significant investment the technical TELECONTROL equipment of its operation. This will allow the company to anticipate and measure even better the fast developing Media Market in Bulgaria. To note also, that the number one Software for Advertising Monitoring, TV PLANET, has been acquired and will be launched on the Bulgarian Market in the next weeks.
